User data deletion
This page explains how to ask Inspectio to delete or disconnect personal data, including if you used Log in with Facebook (or other sign-in methods). It meets the “user data deletion” URL that Meta and other providers ask for in app settings.
1. Remove only Facebook (Meta) from your account
If you signed in with Facebook and only want to stop using Facebook with Inspectio:
- Sign in to Inspectio (with Facebook or another method you still have).
- Open Profile (or your account area) and go to the connected accounts / social logins section.
- Disconnect or unlink Facebook. We will remove the stored link between your user account and Facebook subject to the rules below (e.g. you must keep at least one way to sign in if your organisation still requires an account).
You can also remove the app from your Facebook account in Facebook’s Settings → Apps and websites (wording may vary). That does not always delete your data in our product by itself, so for a full delete, follow section 2.
2. Request full deletion of your data
To ask us to delete your personal data we hold in Inspectio (including name, email, and data tied to your use of the service, and any Facebook identifiers we store after you unlink), contact us and include:
- the email address of your account;
- a clear request to delete your account and personal data (or specify what to delete, if you are not the organisation owner); and
- if your account is managed by a employer or organisation, we may need to coordinate with your organisation’s administrator, because fleet and inspection records can be business records that the organisation is required to keep.
Send the request to: noreply@inspectio.co.uk
We will respond within a reasonable time (typically within 30 days where the UK/EEA timescales apply) and explain any legal or contractual reason we must retain certain data (for example billing, security logs, or records your organisation must keep).
3. What happens after a request
Where we can delete your data, we will delete or irreversibly anonymise it, including tokens and identifiers from social sign-in, unless a limited retention is required by law or legitimate business need. Some information may stay in back-ups for a short period before being overwritten.
4. More detail
Our general description of data use and retention is in the privacy policy.
